Standard

I am so behind on posts, it has been a pretty weird week…I’ll keep it short and sweet…

Thursday:

No breakfast today, just lemon water and coffee.

Went to lunch with my beautiful friend Tina, had some garlic edemames and sushi(I know I am a ‘vegan’ that eats fist…I AM aware, I do eat salmon and other wild fish, but I DO NOT EAT ANY TYPE OF SHELL FISH.)

Leftovers: Organic Beans and Chips and a Beer…I know, I know…but it has been a stressful week I couldn’t help it!

Workout

I did weights tonight, I wasn’t feeling like doing JM, so I did some hardcore weight lifting, it was a nice change of pace.

Day 15: May 22nd 2013

Standard

Ahhhh…today…not my day…what is it about Wednesdays?? I was soooo busy at work I didn’t even have time to post my post from yesterday and I did not even get to drink my usual gallons of water and tea…and it was just a bad day. I came home upset and tired, I threw down my bags and fell on the couch. I will spare you the work drama, but let’s just say I am not liking it and praying for change…soon…

What breakfast? I did not consume anything today not until 2pm that is.

I know, I know…I had a diet coke…this is WAY not like me… aspartame is one of the worst possible thing you can consume, can you say formaldehyde?? I needed a caffeine kick so I caved. Some strawberries, cucumber, chips and the other half of my sandwich from last night.

What workout…I AM NOT WORKING OUT TODAY. My brain cannot handle it.

Day 14: May 21st 2013

Standard

Dun Dun Duhhhhhhh! (Is that how you spell that sound??) It’s weigh in day….I hate this day!

WEIGHT: 170.5 (That’s a 1.3 lb. loss, I’m so not impressed!)

Chest: 38 (Same)

Arms: 12″ (Same)

Waist: 31″ (SAME)

Hips: 38.5″ (Same…Ahhh!)

Thighs: 23″ (Blah.)

Just coffee, no frills…it was gross, I added a little bit of cream, I couldn’t help it…So much for no coffee…

I am so aggravated…I hate getting dressed in the morning, I am not losing weight like I used to…I feel stressed and just not happy…I don’t get it? I need to change my attitude…I am eating well, working out and not drinking(Well, Monday and today!) and still my attitude is terrible…what is happening?

Day 13: May 20th 2013

What a Monday! Started off good…I made a beautiful new flower arrangement for my desk and it put me in such a good mood, this is surprising only because ask my coworkers…I HATE Mondays! photo (6)

As the day progressed I was in a pretty terrible mood, I don;t know what was wrong with me I was just pissy and cranky and I could’t wait for the day to be over. I feel like the champagne from the night before was part of my problem so I decided I needed to detox and get that poison out of me ASAP.

Afternoon Tea, an attempt to get rid of my splitting headache, and it worked!!

It was finally 4:30pm and I got to go home…not in the mood to workout at all, I decided to have an early dinner so I had a small bowl of Chili and then took a short nap(LAZY!) Then I decided to get my lazy butt up and do my workout…I did. I didn’t feel like it was very effective, my mind just wasn’t in it at all, but I sure was sweating!

I am not looking forward to tonight’s official weigh in…I weighed myself this morning and still no change!? I am frustrated and confused…I am beginning to dread weigh-in’s and Tuesdays. Trying to stay positive and remember what my Dad always tells me…’Muscle weighs more than fat.’ So let’s just hope I am gaining some heavy muscle…

Day 12: May 19th 2013

Well I know today was supposed to be a workout day because I took Thursday off, but my ass hurts so I am taking the day off, deal with it! My workout yesterday caused my muscles to be extra sore today so I decided to rest and I am so glad I did, cause I had an amazing day today. I woke up and had a wonderful cup of coffee, caught up on the episodes I missed of Bates Motel, if you aren’t watching this you should be, its awesome! Then I made some breakfast for my husband and myself…

Strawberries, Orange Juice, a Bagel and some Eggs with Salsa, Jalapeno, Bell Pepper and Onion

Then I did some laundry and watched some more TV and relaxed…then I decided I would do some extensive research on flowers, I planted some flower seeds yesterday and I decided I wanted to do some more. Yesterday on one of my errands to my regular Saturday stop at Trader Joe’s I picked up these beauties…

Flowers

They are Gladiolus Flowers and they have now become my favorite thing in the whole world! I love how tall and vibrant they are. I discovered that Lowe’s was having a huge sale of Gladiolus bulbs and decided that I would make my way there later to pick some up…but before I did that I decided to relax a little more…

Champagne is my most favorite drink…if only beer and champagne weren’t my favorite, they ARE the most fattening drinks ever…but I just can’t help it…it’s time for a cleanse I feel like this week was not a good week for me…I ate pretty clean, but I did not drink clean! I say no alcohol at all next week…who’s with me?

Day 11: May 18th 2013

Standard

Well I had big plans to stay up late last night and have a few drinks and watch a movie and none of that was accomplished. The moment I sat on the couch to relax I fell right asleep…I didn’t realize I was so exhausted. Anyways, since I fell asleep early I started my Saturday off very early with a at home workout and then a brisk walk with my baby!

Didn’t have any dinner tonight, since I had a late lunch I wasn’t very hungry. I did have a snack that consisted of a small piece of quiche and some tortilla chips(with some dip, but I am too ashamed to say what it was…let’s just say it was extremely fattening) while I watched a movie. Oh and I had a few beers(also VERY fattening), it was a nice and relaxing night(with a ton of fat included!)

Day 7: May 13th 2013

MONDAY…LAMEDAY

I have never been one for Mondays and today was just as I expected it to be…just Monday! I should consider changing my attitude and outlook on Mondays, if I did I bet they would actually be tolerable.

Had kinda a weird ‘eating’ day today, no breakfast at all just drank my usual hot lemon water and I did have a cup of coffee…had a piece of quiche for lunch and then this for dinner…

Veggie quiche(made by my beautiful mama), pasta salad, made with all organic ingredients and homemade french fries…I made these for my husband to go along with his burgers, but I admit I had a few. Oh and yes I drank a beer, actually two…it’s my weakness.

That’s all I did today, between the extremely hot weather(In early May!) my toothache and ear infection I took it easy. Tomorrow will be better…everyone cheats on Mondays right?

Oh and I almost forgot to mention I received an amazing gift from my husbands family who live back east…they are amazing people and always spoil me with Nike gear. I could not be more grateful…a girl can always use a new pair of shoes…especially running shoes!

Day 2: May 8th 2013

My Morning ‘Cup of Joe’

Almost every morning I drink a cup of hot water with lemon, I actually look forward to it…my favorite part is that the lemon acts a natural diuretic, it is wonderful and great way to cleanse the kidneys and any other toxins left in the body (It makes you pee), it also initiates your metabolism and the lemon balances your pH.  Some studies show it aids in weight-loss and keeps your skin pretty and clear too.

The Daily Smoothie

Aww…my morning breakfast smoothie! (Sometimes I have a difficult time getting it all down)

Ingredients: (These often change based on what veggies and fruits are in my fridge)

-A little dash of 100% Cranberry Juice(not from concentrate and no sugar at all)

-Pineapple Juice

-Kale(a whole lot of it)

-Spinach

-Berry Medley (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries)

-1 teaspoon on Flax Seed Oil

-And lastly water

It’s a little tough to get that Kale down since it doesn’t blend well, but it is a perfect ‘breakfast’ meal to tide me over until lunch.
