Day 15: May 22nd 2013

Standard

Ahhhh…today…not my day…what is it about Wednesdays?? I was soooo busy at work I didn’t even have time to post my post from yesterday and I did not even get to drink my usual gallons of water and tea…and it was just a bad day. I came home upset and tired, I threw down my bags and fell on the couch. I will spare you the work drama, but let’s just say I am not liking it and praying for change…soon…

What breakfast? I did not consume anything today not until 2pm that is.

I know, I know…I had a diet coke…this is WAY not like me… aspartame is one of the worst possible thing you can consume, can you say formaldehyde?? I needed a caffeine kick so I caved. Some strawberries, cucumber, chips and the other half of my sandwich from last night.

What workout…I AM NOT WORKING OUT TODAY. My brain cannot handle it.

Day 14: May 21st 2013

Standard

Dun Dun Duhhhhhhh! (Is that how you spell that sound??) It’s weigh in day….I hate this day!

WEIGHT: 170.5 (That’s a 1.3 lb. loss, I’m so not impressed!)

Chest: 38 (Same)

Arms: 12″ (Same)

Waist: 31″ (SAME)

Hips: 38.5″ (Same…Ahhh!)

Thighs: 23″ (Blah.)

I am so aggravated…I hate getting dressed in the morning, I am not losing weight like I used to…I feel stressed and just not happy…I don’t get it? I need to change my attitude…I am eating well, working out and not drinking(Well, Monday and today!) and still my attitude is terrible…what is happening?

Day 12: May 19th 2013

Standard

Well I know today was supposed to be a workout day because I took Thursday off, but my ass hurts so I am taking the day off, deal with it! My workout yesterday caused my muscles to be extra sore today so I decided to rest and I am so glad I did, cause I had an amazing day today. I woke up and had a wonderful cup of coffee, caught up on the episodes I missed of Bates Motel, if you aren’t watching this you should be, its awesome! Then I made some breakfast for my husband and myself…

Strawberries, Orange Juice, a Bagel and some Eggs with Salsa, Jalapeno, Bell Pepper and Onion

Then I did some laundry and watched some more TV and relaxed…then I decided I would do some extensive research on flowers, I planted some flower seeds yesterday and I decided I wanted to do some more. Yesterday on one of my errands to my regular Saturday stop at Trader Joe’s I picked up these beauties…

They are Gladiolus Flowers and they have now become my favorite thing in the whole world! I love how tall and vibrant they are. I discovered that Lowe’s was having a huge sale of Gladiolus bulbs and decided that I would make my way there later to pick some up…but before I did that I decided to relax a little more…

Champagne is my most favorite drink…if only beer and champagne weren’t my favorite, they ARE the most fattening drinks ever…but I just can’t help it…it’s time for a cleanse I feel like this week was not a good week for me…I ate pretty clean, but I did not drink clean! I say no alcohol at all next week…who’s with me?

Day 11: May 18th 2013

Standard

Well I had big plans to stay up late last night and have a few drinks and watch a movie and none of that was accomplished. The moment I sat on the couch to relax I fell right asleep…I didn’t realize I was so exhausted. Anyways, since I fell asleep early I started my Saturday off very early with a at home workout and then a brisk walk with my baby!

Didn’t have any dinner tonight, since I had a late lunch I wasn’t very hungry. I did have a snack that consisted of a small piece of quiche and some tortilla chips(with some dip, but I am too ashamed to say what it was…let’s just say it was extremely fattening) while I watched a movie. Oh and I had a few beers(also VERY fattening), it was a nice and relaxing night(with a ton of fat included!)

Day 9: May 16th 2013

Standard

Well…this was a tough day for me. BAD day at worked filled with unnecessary drama and it just plain put me in a bad mood! I got home from work and the last thing I wanted to do was work out…so guess what I did? I didn’t, I just plain didn’t. I decided the best way to justify these actions was to switch my Sunday ‘Rest’ day with today. So I decided to make Day 9 (A Thursday) my rest day! So this Sunday I will be double working my butt off to make up for it!

This was my day in a nutshell…

Had my usual hot water with lemon, a cup of coffee and tea. Woo Hoo!

Day 7: May 14th 2013 (Weekly Weigh-In)

Standard

Today I am discouraged…when I decided to do this whole thing I knew it was going to be tough, but tonight after my weigh-in I am not in an encouraging and motivational place.  Last week was a good week, I felt like I was doing good and losing some weight, but my scale thinks otherwise…

Weigh In May 14 171.8

That is 0.5 lb…gain…it may not seem like a lot, but when you were expecting a little bit different result it is!

However I will not let this discourage me any longer. I know there are gonna be ups and downs on this journey and I don’t expect to lose 40 pounds in 1 week so let’s chalk this week up to excessive water weight gain, sound good?

Here are the rest of my stats, there actually was some change here…

Chest: 38″ (Grew by an inch!)

Arms: 12″ (That’s 0.5″ loss from last week)

Waist: 31″ (That’s an 1″ loss, that’s good right?)

Hips: 38.5″ (Another 0.5″ gone)

Thighs: 23″ (Same.)

I’m a little happy about these results…I always believed measurements were more accurate than a scale!

So anyways here was my Tuesday:

A normal kind of day, had my smoothie after lunch today and skipped breakfast. It was actually a good idea, because too often I am starving around 3:00 pm and my smoothie did the trick and did not make me feel too full during my workout.

Day 5: May 11th 2013

Awww…Saturday! Woke up early and went for a hike with my baby love!

Had a nice run/hike…kinda had to cut it short cause my pup was tired…It must have been 90 degrees outside…I carried him much of the last mile.

I didn’t eat anything today…I tend to do that on Saturdays(Not a good idea) I am just not hungry on Saturday…I actually didn’t even notice that I didn’t eat. Oops!

Day 3: May 9th 2013

Today was a bit of a hectic day, woke up late(cause I have been staying up WAY too late blogging!) I did have my regular cup of hot lemon water(no picture necessary, it always looks the same), but skipped the smoothie today…and  I did something that I never do this morning…ready for it? It’s pretty bad…I drove through Carl’s Jr. and got a egg biscuit! Ahhhh! I was so hungry this morning from not eating dinner last night I couldn’t resist. I shocked myself and felt sick for most of the morning afterward.

…Oh wait I was too ashamed of what I did I didn’t even take a picture.  I was actually not even gonna tell you guys about it, but then I realized WAIT, that defeats the whole point of this blog challenge right? This is supposed to be a truth-blog, cheating and all…the truth. Getting healthy is a lifestyle and a choice and a struggle.

Anyways, after my fast food sickness subsided I attempted to cleanse my body with my usual cups of tea…

Day 2: May 8th 2013

My Morning ‘Cup of Joe’

Almost every morning I drink a cup of hot water with lemon, I actually look forward to it…my favorite part is that the lemon acts a natural diuretic, it is wonderful and great way to cleanse the kidneys and any other toxins left in the body (It makes you pee), it also initiates your metabolism and the lemon balances your pH.  Some studies show it aids in weight-loss and keeps your skin pretty and clear too.

The Daily Smoothie

Aww…my morning breakfast smoothie! (Sometimes I have a difficult time getting it all down)

Ingredients: (These often change based on what veggies and fruits are in my fridge)

-A little dash of 100% Cranberry Juice(not from concentrate and no sugar at all)

-Pineapple Juice

-Kale(a whole lot of it)

-Spinach

-Berry Medley (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries)

-1 teaspoon on Flax Seed Oil

-And lastly water

It’s a little tough to get that Kale down since it doesn’t blend well, but it is a perfect ‘breakfast’ meal to tide me over until lunch.
