Day 26: June 2nd 2013

Standard

I was so lame today, I didn’t take any pictures…I was out of it…trying to relax and just slacking off everywhere else! I did spend most of my day on the couch watching the new season of Arrested Development and now I am sad it’s over! I should have spread those out a bit more.

Since I was WAY too lazy to actually go for a run I decided the run in place for 10 minutes…which is about what it takes me to run a mile so I figured that was equivalent…I think it was cause I am SO sore today…my calves are on fire!

Day 22: May 29th 2013

What a slacker! It is Monday the 3rd and I have not blogged since last Tuesday, that is almost a week! No bueno…you would understand if you knew the week I had. I have been going through some work issues and as a result have slipped into an unnecessary haze of depression and still to this day I cannot snap out of it. I am trying very hard to not let my emotions get the best of me…but it has proven to be a difficult task thus far.

Well here goes, a quick run down of the days of posts that I am behind in…

Didn’t do any other workouts tonight, no time had big dinner plans with my beautiful Mom, Grandma and Auntie.

I had such a wonderful and late evening spent with my family, it was so nice to have dinner cooked for me and to relax and chat…I didn’t want to go home!

Day 15: May 22nd 2013

Ahhhh…today…not my day…what is it about Wednesdays?? I was soooo busy at work I didn’t even have time to post my post from yesterday and I did not even get to drink my usual gallons of water and tea…and it was just a bad day. I came home upset and tired, I threw down my bags and fell on the couch. I will spare you the work drama, but let’s just say I am not liking it and praying for change…soon…

What breakfast? I did not consume anything today not until 2pm that is.

I know, I know…I had a diet coke…this is WAY not like me… aspartame is one of the worst possible thing you can consume, can you say formaldehyde?? I needed a caffeine kick so I caved. Some strawberries, cucumber, chips and the other half of my sandwich from last night.

Workout

What workout…I AM NOT WORKING OUT TODAY. My brain cannot handle it.

What is one of the most annoying things about being a woman? In my opinion, Shaving!

I was having some problems with my shaving strategies. I would usually shave in the shower with soap and water, but most times I was in pain after. I would suffer from razor burn; of the worst kind. And to top it off my shaving was always inconsistent…I was always missing spots! And let’s not forget that if you have goosebumps on your legs while showering…well then forget it…unless of course you like your legs to burn and bleed and all at the same time.

I decided that I needed to do something different so my first step was to get an electric razor and try that route. This option seemed okay, I would shave dry and out of the shower but it still just wasn’t good enough. Then a light bulb clicked one day. I am an avid user of Vitamin E oil, it is a life saver, I use it all over my face and body in place of lotion and there really is nothing like it…AMAZING. So I decided to shave with my electric razor right after I put the oil on my legs. It worked beautifully, not only were my legs silky smooth, but the shave was closer than before and lasted for longer than using a razor. And the best part of all, you know those little red bumps most women get from shaving? Well, they are gone, completely gone…took a couple of weeks but no more bumps. I use this method on my armpits as well and it works beautifully. Still haven’t figured out a good bikini shaving method (the electric razor doesn’t seem to work well in that area!) but I recommend this method on your legs and underarms for sure!

Tip: Get a good, not too inexpensive electric razor, the cheaper one’s do not work well at all. And be sure to get PURE vitamin oil, with nothing else in the ingredients. Your skin absorbs whatever you put on it, make sure it absorbs the best and purest kind of whatever you put on it! ALWAYS!
