Day 11: May 18th 2013

Standard

Well I had big plans to stay up late last night and have a few drinks and watch a movie and none of that was accomplished. The moment I sat on the couch to relax I fell right asleep…I didn’t realize I was so exhausted. Anyways, since I fell asleep early I started my Saturday off very early with a at home workout and then a brisk walk with my baby!

Breakfast looked like this…I know I should eat something but I just didn’t feel like it, plus this was just what I needed to get me through my Saturday errands!

Then spoiled myself to a lovely burger from In-N-Out…oh yeah and I had fries too! (of course!)

Lunch

Didn’t have any dinner tonight, since I had a late lunch I wasn’t very hungry. I did have a snack that consisted of a small piece of quiche and some tortilla chips(with some dip, but I am too ashamed to say what it was…let’s just say it was extremely fattening) while I watched a movie. Oh and I had a few beers(also VERY fattening), it was a nice and relaxing night(with a ton of fat included!)

Day 10: May 17th 2013

Standard

Today was not my day…yesterday’s BS bled over into this day and it just sucked! I didn’t take any pics of what I ate or drank…I was just out of it all day.

I drank like 10 cups of hot tea and did not have any coffee today(maybe this is why I had a splitting headache practically all day!?!?) I ate a veggie taco and some tortilla chips for lunch and I did workout when I got home…

Day 9: May 16th 2013

Standard

Well…this was a tough day for me. BAD day at worked filled with unnecessary drama and it just plain put me in a bad mood! I got home from work and the last thing I wanted to do was work out…so guess what I did? I didn’t, I just plain didn’t. I decided the best way to justify these actions was to switch my Sunday ‘Rest’ day with today. So I decided to make Day 9 (A Thursday) my rest day! So this Sunday I will be double working my butt off to make up for it!

This was my day in a nutshell…

Had my usual hot water with lemon, a cup of coffee and tea. Woo Hoo!

This was lunch(don’t be jealous!), along with some leftover pasta salad.

Although I did get dressed to workout, as you know I quickly recanted that thought!

Day 8: May 15th 2013

Standard

I was so incredibly tired last night I was too lazy to do my post, so that is happening for you now!

Yesterday was not my best day…

Started off okay…

My many drinks of the day…

5. My smoothie(too much Kale today, but still good)

6. My usual, Green Tea and Every Day Detox (I often mix this up a bit, but I usually have about 4 cups of my different teas a day. ‘Yogi’ teas and ‘Traditional Medicinals’ are my favs )

Lunch consisted of leftovers(pasta salad and quiche) once again.

Workout was a little weird today…

I ran like I usually do on Wednesdays, but had to cut it a little short because my stupid leg started throbbing. I swear if this leg injury ever goes away I will be a happy camper. About 8 months ago I was training for a half marathon and I decided to go for a long run one day…a part of the course I ran was grass and as I was running through the grass portion my foot got caught in a tiny whole, I didn’t fall or anything, I just kind of lost my balance, but ever since then my right leg is constantly throbbing when I run. I was able to finish the half marathon(barely) I even took a month off of running after the marathon, but the pain has never gone away completely. It’s just frustrating to have a passion for running and then have something like this hinder you from doing it as often as I would like to.

Anyways, when I got home from my short and painful run, I was so exhausted…like completely exhausted. I was complaining to my husband and he suggested that I take the rest of the night off and not finish the rest of my workout schedule. Now you should know…I am the type that feels so very guilty if I do not workout…I realize this just causes unnecessary stress and in turn just makes me fatter, but I just cannot seem to overcome it!  Anyways, after much convincing by my wonderful husband I took the rest of the night off…it was actually very nice, I think it IS necessary to listen to your body and rest when it is begging you to. Our bodies need to repair at some point right? So although I plan to finish this challenge I will do so while listening to my body.

Dinner was yummy, I just had a small piece of fish tonight, not very hungry!

Day 7: May 14th 2013 (Weekly Weigh-In)

Today I am discouraged…when I decided to do this whole thing I knew it was going to be tough, but tonight after my weigh-in I am not in an encouraging and motivational place.  Last week was a good week, I felt like I was doing good and losing some weight, but my scale thinks otherwise…

Weigh In May 14 171.8

That is 0.5 lb…gain…it may not seem like a lot, but when you were expecting a little bit different result it is!

However I will not let this discourage me any longer. I know there are gonna be ups and downs on this journey and I don’t expect to lose 40 pounds in 1 week so let’s chalk this week up to excessive water weight gain, sound good?

Here are the rest of my stats, there actually was some change here…

Chest: 38″ (Grew by an inch!)

Arms: 12″ (That’s 0.5″ loss from last week)

Waist: 31″ (That’s an 1″ loss, that’s good right?)

Hips: 38.5″ (Another 0.5″ gone)

Thighs: 23″ (Same.)

I’m a little happy about these results…I always believed measurements were more accurate than a scale!

So anyways here was my Tuesday:

A normal kind of day, had my smoothie after lunch today and skipped breakfast. It was actually a good idea, because too often I am starving around 3:00 pm and my smoothie did the trick and did not make me feel too full during my workout.

Day 7: May 13th 2013

MONDAY…LAMEDAY

I have never been one for Mondays and today was just as I expected it to be…just Monday! I should consider changing my attitude and outlook on Mondays, if I did I bet they would actually be tolerable.

Had kinda a weird ‘eating’ day today, no breakfast at all just drank my usual hot lemon water and I did have a cup of coffee…had a piece of quiche for lunch and then this for dinner…

Veggie quiche(made by my beautiful mama), pasta salad, made with all organic ingredients and homemade french fries…I made these for my husband to go along with his burgers, but I admit I had a few. Oh and yes I drank a beer, actually two…it’s my weakness.

That’s all I did today, between the extremely hot weather(In early May!) my toothache and ear infection I took it easy. Tomorrow will be better…everyone cheats on Mondays right?

Oh and I almost forgot to mention I received an amazing gift from my husbands family who live back east…they are amazing people and always spoil me with Nike gear. I could not be more grateful…a girl can always use a new pair of shoes…especially running shoes!

Day 6: May 12th 2013

REST DAY! The best day ever!

I was very much looking forward to this day and enjoyed my day off spending time with my mama and my wonderful family.

Day 5: May 11th 2013

Awww…Saturday! Woke up early and went for a hike with my baby love!

Had a nice run/hike…kinda had to cut it short cause my pup was tired…It must have been 90 degrees outside…I carried him much of the last mile.

I didn’t eat anything today…I tend to do that on Saturdays(Not a good idea) I am just not hungry on Saturday…I actually didn’t even notice that I didn’t eat. Oops!

Day 3: May 9th 2013

Today was a bit of a hectic day, woke up late(cause I have been staying up WAY too late blogging!) I did have my regular cup of hot lemon water(no picture necessary, it always looks the same), but skipped the smoothie today…and  I did something that I never do this morning…ready for it? It’s pretty bad…I drove through Carl’s Jr. and got a egg biscuit! Ahhhh! I was so hungry this morning from not eating dinner last night I couldn’t resist. I shocked myself and felt sick for most of the morning afterward.

…Oh wait I was too ashamed of what I did I didn’t even take a picture.  I was actually not even gonna tell you guys about it, but then I realized WAIT, that defeats the whole point of this blog challenge right? This is supposed to be a truth-blog, cheating and all…the truth. Getting healthy is a lifestyle and a choice and a struggle.

Anyways, after my fast food sickness subsided I attempted to cleanse my body with my usual cups of tea…
